Description
Joshua looks like a fairly typical "angstful" teenager at first glance. He dresses in dark clothing, wears boots, etc. The most noticeable difference is that he's constantly doing tricks with whatever he's holding. "Just playing" he'll say. He rolls coins from finger to finger, palms other small items, makes things disappear and reappear. His left ear is pierced and he wears a small silver stud earing in it.
My So-Called Life
Joshua's take on why his parent's sent him to Solomon: "I was sent up here to go to live with my Aunt & Uncle because of...well...some of my more larcenous habits. So, off to the sticks for Joshua. Plenty of time to practice my acrobatics off in the sticks (mom was an Olympic alternate back in the 50s and she has big plans for me in the 1996 games). A lot less places to practice your other skills off in the sticks. Be a good boy Joshua, and you can come home for the summer.
Joshua finds Solomon a bit on the boring side...and the lack anywhere legal to practice his card counting is a bit frustrating. Deep down inside, however, he realizes that Solomon is what he probably needed. Less outside temptations, more time to focus on the things his parents taught him.
When We Were Kids
Joshua was trained from when he was basically old enough to walk in gymnastics and acrobatics. Some of his earliest memories are with his mom doing tumbling routines.
Family
Lives with his Aunt and Uncle, William and Rachel Archer, in Solomon. Mother and Father (Tabitha and Ron) live in Atlantic City.
