Solomon High is Solomon's only public high school, which accounts for the creative name the town fathers bestowed upon it. Among the Solomon High class of 1993 can be found Sam and the rest of the show's contingent of teenagers. Just one of SHS's many attractive features is its prime location across the street from a cemetery, which you know is going to end up being a real time saver.

Where did we come up with this stuff? From the course offerings at Grosse Pointe South high school in suburban Detroit, Michigan. Why there? Because it's the cross-town rival of our GM's alma mater, Grosse Pointe North. You just know he's going to be itching to trash the place.

 

Faculty

Assistant Principal Teatart: You should be more responsible. Think of your future!
Kevin: I am responsible. I've already made $40,000 this year from my side job.
Joshua: Right, we know who's locker's getting searched every week this year.

You've got the obnoxious assistant principle, the disguised djinn, the pyromaniac chemistry teacher, and the biology teacher of the week. Just your typical Hellmouth High staff, really.

 

Science

Mr. Moreland: Mr. Archer, napalm is not on the syllabus!

Solomon boasts an excellent science program, including courses in Aviation Science, Microbiology, and Environmental Science in addition to the typical high school science curriculum. They do not, however, cover Vampire Ecology. Yet.

 

Sports

Sam Kessler led the varsity cross country team to the state championships back before that whole superhero thing started to get in the way and finished third overall, with a time that was just short of a school record. Just imagine what she could now if it wasn't for that whole secret identity thing. The soccer team, meanwhile, is reeling from the loss of its entire starting lineup—a couple to graduation, most to death.

Jennifer: Is it true that 10% of your senior class died?
Erik: Yeah. It was a really good year!
Drew: Lowest death rate in 50 years.
Jennifer: Maybe my dad was right. Columbia would have been safer.
